Cogent adds regional strength

Cattle genetics business Cogent Breeding, a Grosvenor Estates company, has added a country and a regional manager to its team.

Richard Hughes joins Cogent as country manager for Wales. He has 26 years experience in ruminant nutrition, and has managed sales and product development teams for the Bibby and NWF Agriculture businesses.

The new manager for the Cogent’s central region is Ed Parish with a remit to lead the company’s operations and service delivery to a growing customer base within central England. Mr Parish comes from a dairy herd management background, with the last decade spent running high yielding herds in Shropshire and a grazing specialist herd in Cheshire.

“The arrival of Ed and Richard is a significant milestone in Cogent’s strategic development and enhances our ability to add real value on farm,” says Cogent UK general manger James Hallett. “Cogent’s ultimate goal is to deliver the excellent value and service that our customers rightly expect and we need the best people to do that.”
