MVF Forage looks north

Mole Valley Farmers has appointed Matthew Dennick as commercial manager for its Mole Valley Forage Services business, with a remit to develop the company’s national team of crop nutritionists and expand its activities into the north of the country.

Mr Dennick has over 20 years experience working in the agricultural supply trade. He started his career with Dalgety, in time moving to regional sales manager roles there and with Masstock after its purchase of Dalgety Arable in 2003.  He has spent the last two years as a regional sales manager for Frontier Agriculture.

His new remit is to lead up a group of Mole Valley Forage Services field-based crop nutritionists and extend its reach across a wider geographical region. A northern team of specialists has already begun to be developed with advisors in Wales, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire. The team will adopt a whole farm approach, linking together all aspects of the wider Mole Valley Farmers business to ensure farmers are provided with advice to improve performance in every aspect of their business.

“We want to develop our offering so wherever they are, farmers can get advice on growing forage,” says Mr Dennick. “With farmers facing growing challenges to their businesses, the need for sound advice and technical support has never been greater. A complementary and integrated approach can improve overall profitability. The Mole Valley crop nutritionist team can offer advice on soil health, crop nutrition and seed selection, with the Feed Solutions team advising on optimising forage within the overall feed regime.”
