Feed microingredients manufacturer and distributor AB Vista, an AB Agri company, has promoted Dr Heidi Burrows to the position of supply chain and regulatory director to help strengthen its global reach.
Dr Burrows joined AB Vista in January 2008 as a regulatory manager, after ten years working in the feed additive industry. She was appointed regulatory director within AB Vista’s management team in 2012. In addition these responsibilities, Dr Burrows will also oversee the company’s growing supply chain network. This follows investment in new facilities and new partnerships to strengthen its supply chain infrastructure.
The last five years has been a period of rapid growth for AB Vista due to the global success of Quantum Blue. As a result, the company has placed a strong focus on building a strong and reliable global supply chain infrastructure.
“We move product across the world into more than 60 countries, from nine different production and logistical facilities, so this is a highly complex operation, one where efficiency, reliability and accuracy are key, “says AB Vista managing director Richard Cooper. “Each of the geographical locations AB Vista operates within across the globe brings different logistical, regulatory and quality assurance challenges, but Dr Burrows is ideally suited to leading AB Vista in these areas.”
• AB Vista has also reorganised its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) sales team into four regions, to support the continued expansion of its business across this region, especially since the EU launch of the of Quantum Blue phytase product in early 2014.
Regional sales directors will now lead teams in four areas - Middle East and Africa; Indian Sub-Continent; Central Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union and West and South Europe which includes South Africa.
Juan Ignacio Fernandez becomes sales director of the newly-established West and South Europe sales team. He has 20 years’ experience in the commercial and technical development of feed additive businesses, having worked for several multinational companies.
