The BioMar Group, the Danish multinational fish feed manufacturer, has appointed Patrick Campbell as managing director of BioMar UK. He succeeds Guy Mace who has retired. BioMar services the UK and Ireland aquaculture markets from its feedmill at Grangemouth in Scotland
Mr Campbell has worked for BioMar since 1998. He became group global R&D in 2011, responsible for establishing a global R&D team.
“We are very pleased that Patrick Campbell has accepted the challenge to continue the successful work of Guy Mace as managing director in Scotland,” says BioMar group chief executive Carlos Diaz. “He is already located in Scotland and he has an in-depth knowledge of the UK market and the very specific requirements of our customers there. This, combined with his international career in BioMar, gives him a solid platform for taking over as managing director of BioMar UK.
At the same time, Håvard Jørgensen, previously R&D director at BioMar Norway takes on the global R&D director role, with Roger Hendry joining the company as global technical director. Mr Hendry’s long international career in feed manufacturing ranges from steering global investment projects to hands-on experience in fish and shrimp feed production.
“BioMar has invested in building a strong global R&D organization, which is a fundamental element in our continued expansion process. We are already now seeing the benefits of this in many of our most important markets,” concludes Mr Diaz.
