The Wynnstay Group has appointed Stephen Ellwood to its board as a non executive director from April this year. He replaces Lord Carlile CBE QC, who is retiring after 16 years as a non executive on the Wynnstay board.
Mr Ellwood started his career at the Milk Marketing Board, before moving to HSBC Bank in 1983. He spent 25 years with the bank, with the last ten as head of agriculture. In 2008 he became head of agriculture at the Smith & Williamson national accountancy business, a post he held for five years.
He is now a non executive director for several agribusinesses including AH Worth; PD Hook and Velcourt and is also a NIAB board member.
“Steve’s background as an agricultural specialist in commercial banking further strengthens our board of directors,” says Wynnstay Group chief executive Ken Greetham.
