Dalmark eyes further HQ expansion

The Dalmark Group has bought a piece of land adjacent to its head office in what it terms a strategic purchase to facilitate further expansion on the site.

The arable marketing and seed processing business, incorporating Dalmark Grain and Dalton Seeds, has acquired 1.1 hectares (2.7 acres) of industrial land to the east of its current head office in Eye, Peterborough, for an undisclosed sum.

The move, which almost doubles the size of its Eye site, is in addition to the Group’s current £1.3 million investment in headquarters accommodation to expand its seed and grain trading offices, provide more meeting rooms and upgrade staff facilities. The company has also invested £2m in its seed cleaning, treating and storage infrastructure.

“The business needs to ensure that it constantly looks to the future and has the capacity to service the current and upcoming demand,” notes managing director of Dalton Seeds Peter Fox. “This strategic purchase ensures that we have the land available for further expansion, be that in seed processing, storage or other strands to the business.”
