The Dalmark Group, comprising Dalton Seeds and Dalmark Grain, is to undertake a large-scale office refurbishment and extension at its head office in Eye, near Peterborough.
The £1.3 million investment includes an extension to the grain and seed trading office; a 100m2 central atrium; three new meeting rooms and a new larger kitchen; a new office rest room and a gymnasium. New build accounts for 430m2 of the 890m2 project, with the remaining 460m2 a refurbishment. Starting in early November, the works should be complete by mid-June 2016.
The Group says this latest major investment in office accommodation is in addition to the recent £2m expenditure on its seed cleaning, treating and storage facilities. Dalmark Group’s annual turnover is around £80m and the business has net assets in excess of £6m.
“This development is a clear indication of the shareholders’ long term commitment to Dalton Seeds and Dalmark Grain,” notes managing director of Dalton Seeds, Peter Fox.
“We pride ourselves on being able to attract and retain the best staff in the industry and this development is a key component of that aim. We have a very strong balance sheet, which has allowed us to make these recent major investments to drive the businesses forward.”
