Feed materials trader Ian Tremain is one of three candidates selected by a Farmers Club panel for a bursary to attend the Windsor Leadership Trust Program in 2016.
Mr Tremain, alongside Lincolnshire farmer and writer Matthew Naylor and Cambridgeshire farmer Peter McDonald, will participate in the Windsor Bursary Programme’s (Emerging Leaders Programme), designed for those who have the potential and ambition to reach senior leadership positions.
It is open to participants, from all sectors of the UK economy, both public and private, but not just agriculture like many industry management training courses, giving a wider insight into strategic leadership and developing a better understanding of how to make a more positive impact on society.
Mr Tremain started his career at Mole Valley Farmers, before establishing his own business, Ian Tremain Feeds. He sold this to BOCM Pauls in 2007, before embarking on a Nuffield Scholarship. He now combines managing his Somerset-based Anode Feeds trading business with working at Cannington College as head of agricultural innovation.
