A senior level reorganization, including a new director appointment, will help Hampshire-based Humphrey Feeds & Pullets meet its customer’s needs better and support continued business growth, says the company.
The changes see Charles MacLeod become rearing director for Humphrey Pullets, where he remains in charge of pullet rearing, whilst also focusing on developing customer and business opportunities. George Humphrey switches from the Humphrey Feeds side to support Mr MacLeod at Humphrey Pullets as general manager of rearing. In this role, he will be in charge of production at Humphrey’s own farms as well as its growing number of contract farms.
Martin Shelley joins the business as poultry specialist, responsible for both feed and pullet sales in the areas previously serviced by George Humphrey. Mr Shelley has over 15 years’ experience in the poultry sector, latterly with Ceva Animal Health, but also with 2 Agriculture, Gressingham Farms and the Faccenda Group.
“Our business has developed tremendously,” explains sales director Martin Humphrey. “Humphrey Pullets has, in the space of a few years, transformed from an integrated operation supplying pullets to our own farms to an external, sales orientated business. As a result, we are investing strongly in continued growth, and would like congratulate both Charles and George, and welcome Martin into the team. This reorganisation will allow both sides of the business to work in a more streamlined way and will give customers better service and value.”
Based near Winchester, Humphrey Feeds and Pullets says it is the leading independent supplier of pullets and feeds to the free range and organic egg-laying poultry sectors in the south of England, in addition to specialist feeds for the turkey, breeding and game bird markets.
