Grainseed, a Nidera UK business since June last year, has appointed Lucy Smith-Reeve as a seed sales specialist.
After graduating fromReading University in Rural Resource Management, Ms Smith-Reeve spent a couple of years in two short-term seed related jobs before joiningLimagrain UK in early 2002 as a wheat breeding technician, progressing to become a wheat breeder.
Her role at Grainseed will see her dealing with farmers in East Anglia, mainly Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. She will specialise in maize and oilseed rape variety seed sales as well as the company’s Horizon range of products from grass and environmental mixes to clamp covers and additives.
“Lucy’s university studies and subsequent work with Limagrain will mean that she brings good ideas, relevant expertise and experience plus knowledge of the seed trade with her,” says Kevin Jordan, managing director of Grainseed. “She will add significantly to the company’s presence on farm and we are really pleased she is joining our team.”
